Brewing In Irish Red

A friend and I brew beer periodically. Not nearly as much as either of us would like, really. This past Saturday we put an Irish Red in the fermenter. I’m really looking forward to it. We’ve done both light-colored beer (it’s a very nice honey color) and very dark beer (dark brown and black). The first was halfway between an IPA and an EPA. The two dark ones were a barley wine and something in the style of Summit’s Winter Ale respectively.

We haven’t had anyone try one and not like them, so we think we’re doing something right.

The only concern at this point is the very brown color of the wart. We are hopeful it will lighten in color during fermentation.
