Forecastfox and the NS_ERROR_FAILURE
Let’s just say when I opened FF2.0.x this evening I got a not so nice little suprise.
Instead of opening my homepage and seeing my list of bookmarks show up, all I got was my homepage, no bookmarks and an error message talking about something called an NS_ERROR_FAILURE. So something ate my bookmarks, and it has something to do with that error message.
A little googling later, I came across a solution on the Mandriva forums. The only thing was I didn’t get my bookmarks back, so I had to go into my Mozilla/Firefox folder into the bookmark backups folder and use FEBE to restore my bookmarks from there. Let’s just say I’m not terribly happy about all that.
Some other links Google brought up made it sound like this is an old thing in FF, or at least in the Forecastfox extension.
